Symbiotic Introduces External Rewards to Enhance Shared Security in Modular Blockchains
Symbiotic, a universal staking protocol positioning itself as an EigenLayer competitor, has launched External Rewards—a feature enabling networks to distribute native token incentives directly to stakers and node operators. The MOVE accelerates Symbiotic's vision of making shared security a standard across modular ecosystems.
Hyperlane, an interoperability protocol, is among the first adopters, rewarding participants securing its cross-chain Warp Routes with $HYPER tokens. The feature consolidates all rewards into a single interface, streamlining economic participation tracking for stakeholders.
"Shared security is something we've been steadily building toward," said Misha Putiatin, Symbiotic's co-founder. The development marks a strategic inflection point for protocols seeking to bootstrap security without reinventing Core infrastructure.
